Yuraygir is a coastal National Park, 60km long, located 482km north east of Sydney. The breathtaking scenery includes secluded white sand beaches, rocky headlands, quiet waterways - all against a backdrop of forests, heathland and wetlands. The park has something for everyone - incredible views, abundant wildlife, sheltered swimming, plenty of lakes and rivers for canoeing or fishing and walking trails.
There are some excellent picnic areas in Yuraygir with picnic tables, barbecues and toilets, many of which enjoy breathtaking coastal views. There are several well-sited camping grounds to choose from, or there are plenty of accommodation options in nearby towns Wooli and Yamba.
The park is located close to Yamba (6km, 10 mins) and Maclean (20km, 20 mins). There are various access points, depending on which area of the park you wish to visit. All are well signposted from the neighbouring towns.
