Torquay tours

Torquay on the south coast is one of Australia's major surfing areas. Torquay hosts the Rip Curl Pro surfing challenge at Bells Beach every Easter. Situated 90km southwest of Melbourne, on the Great Ocean Road, Torquay is a popular seaside destination for Victorians. There are many coves and beaches to swim in, most have good surf. Torquay has been elevated to the surf city of Australia because of it's two major clothing companies located in the town, Quicksilver and Rip Curl.

Bells Beach
This world famous beach, located southwest of Torquay, is very popular with surfers for it's perfect waves.

Surf Coast Walk
If you would like to explore the area on foot, this coastal walk travels for 30km, starting at Torquay and heading south.

Surf world Australia
This is Australia's only surfing museum, it informs and displays everything you want to know about the history of surfing and what is happening in today's surf culture. Surf City Plaza, Beach Road (03 5261 4606)
