Torquay

Torquay on the south coast is one of Australia's major surfing areas. Torquay hosts the Rip Curl Pro surfing challenge at Bells Beach every Easter. Situated 90km southwest of Melbourne, on the Great Ocean Road, Torquay is a popular seaside destination for Victorians. There are many coves and beaches to swim in, most have good surf. Torquay has been elevated to the surf city of Australia because of it's two major clothing companies located in the town, Quicksilver and Rip Curl.

Bells Beach
