Tasmania is the smallest Australian state, is relatively easy to get around and yet has a wonderful array of national parks which range in size from 3000 to 600,000 hectares. Australia has a few World Heritage listed areas and Tasmania has over a million hectares so named. It is one of the last true wilderness areas left in the world and it contains more natural and cultural values than anywhere else on the globe.
