Tamborine National Park covers 11.6 km² of Tamborine Mountain's plateau and surrounding foothills. The lush scenery comprises thick rainforest, tumbling waterfalls, gorges, cliffs, woodland and eucalypt forest. The park is home to a range of wildlife species including the land mullet and rare Albert's lyrebird. There are a number of beautiful picnic areas, scenic drives and bushwalks which will allow you to get close to nature and enjoy the diversity of the park; most are graded easy, some moderate.
Camping is not permitted within the national park, however there are private camping grounds and other accommodation options on Tamborine Mountain. There is a visitor centre located at Doughty Park, North Tamborine, which can provide details on places to stay and things to see and do in the area.
Tamborine Mountain is located 80km south of Brisbane via Tamborine Village or via the Pacific Highway and the Oxenford-Tamborine Road.
