Sheffield

Sheffield, Tasmania, is located about 30 kilometers south of Devonport.  It sits at the foothill of Mount Roland, which has a 1234 meter summit.  The town features many artist's studios and almost 50 public murals depicting the history of the region.  Sheffield is one of the towns nearest Cradle Mountain National Park.

 

Devils @ Cradle
Devils @ Cradle is a facility that features information and experiences related to the endangered Tasmanian Devil.  Visitors get to pet a young devil as well as watching the group interact with each other. 

Tasmazia
Tasmazia is a family park that features eight mazes for walking through as well as a 1/5 scale village called "the Village of Lower Crackpot."  Tazmazia is located close to Sheffield in it's own little town of "Promised Land," at 500 Staverton Road.

Cradle Mountain National Park
The best known national park in Tasmania, Cradle Mountain is a haven for hikers and nature lovers.  One thing to remember is that the temperature can vary widely when hiking through the 1260 square kilometers of this huge park.
