Nightcap National Park

Nightcap National Park is situated 35km north of Lismore in far north-eastern New South Wales. Situated close to Mount Warning, the park is a lush mixture of rainforest, peaks, ridges and spectacular waterfalls, and is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, many of which are endangered, such as red goshawks and masked owls.

There are four picnic areas in the park with toilets, picnic tables and shelters and these are the starting points for many of the walks, which range from easy to hard. The nearest camping ground is at Whian Whian State Conservation Area, adjacent to Nightcap National Park.

Nightcap National Park can be accessed by five separate public roads, all south of the park. All are unpaved, with the exception of the route to Mt Nardi.
