Millstream Falls is located in far north Queensland, close to the township of Ravenshoe. It features two spectacular waterfalls: Big Millstream Falls, believed to be Australia's widest single-drop waterfall; and Little Millstream Falls, where platypus can be spotted. There are walking tracks to viewing platforms, starting from their respective car parks. There is also a very pleasant and shady picnic area at Big Millstream falls with barbecues, picnic tables and toilets.
Millstream Falls National Park has a strong cultural significance for the local Jirrbal Aboriginal people who once lived in the rainforest in semi-permanent villages.
Camping is not permitted in the National Park. However, there is a range of holiday accommodation on the Atherton and Evelyn tablelands.
Big Millstream Falls is located 3.5km south west of Ravenshoe on the Mount Garnet Road. Ravenshoe is located 147km from Cairns via the Gillies Highway. There are various amenities and a visitor centre at Ravenshoe.
