Milawa

Located 256km to the north east of Melbourne is the the town of Milawa. It is a small town located on the main road between Glenrowan and Myrtleford, south east of Wangaratta.

Milawa is in the very heart of the Milawa Gourmet region which is an area that is known for its farms, restaurants, wineries, craft and local produce.

There are a number of small towns in the area and these include the town of Oxley to the west of Milawa, Tarrawingee to the north and Markwood to the east.

The historic Milawa Hotel was established in town center in 1865 and around the center are a number of cafes and shops. The center is at the intersection of the Bobinawarrah road and Myrtleford, Snow Road.

Other attractions include Brown Brothers Winery that has an Epicurean Center and the Milawa Mustards and Olive shop. There is also the Milawa Cheese Company.
