Mann River Natural Reserve

Australia hotels

Set in imposing mountain scenery east of the Great Dividing Range in northern New South Wales, this reserve is a one of the Mann River's best kept secrets. It is an area which particularly appeals to nature lovers, bushwalkers and photographers. Swimming and canoeing are also popular activities here. There are many viewpoints to enjoy. Tommys Rock Lookout, at 1015 metres, is the highest point in the reserve and provides outstanding views of the area. There is also a full-day, challenging walk to Tommy's rock (17km, 7 hours).

There is just one camping ground, located on the Old Glen Innes-Grafton Road which has picnic tables, barbecues and non-flush toilets.

Access to the park is via the Old Glen Innes-Grafton Road. This 120 km unsealed road is a loop off the highway, so don't miss the turn off near Glen Innes, which is about an hour's drive away.
