The Derwent Entertainment Centre, located at Brooker Highway, Glenorchy, is the venue to go to in Hobart for concerts. Free parking for 1,400 cars is available while a Metro bus stop is not far from the venue. Tickets to shows can be purchased from Ticketmaster or at the venue.

With 5,400 seats, and the ability to be reconfigured to fit 7,500 for concerts, the Derwent Entertainment Centre hosts some of the biggest touring acts. Some of the shows at the venue have included Crowded House, Powderfinger, The Wiggles and Cirque De Soleil.

Syrup Nightclub at 39 Salamanca Place, Hobart is two stories of music and dancing. On the first floor you can expect to hear hits from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. The second floor has Techno music.

The Federation Concert Hall is the venue for the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. It is located at 1 Davey Street Hobart, and is part of the Hotel Grand Chancellor.

Wrest Point at 410 Sandy Bay Road, Sandy Bay is a destination for many visitors to Hobart. The casino provides gaming machines and table games. Texas Hold’em Poker, Roulette and Blackjack are some of the games available to play. The complex also includes many restaurants and bars, including the Point Revolving Restaurant.
