Vic Hislop's Shark Show is on the Esplanade at Hervey Bay and has some great displays of large sharks caught by Vic himself over the thirty odd years he has spent studying these terrifying creatures. These sharks are kept in a freezer display. One of the major displays is of a monster great White Shark. See this awesome marine display then head out for a swim in the bay!    Paula Duggan

Hervey Bay Historical Museum first opened its doors with one building in 1974. During the ensuing years money was raised by the sale of jams, sweets pickles etc which were sold at the museum and local markets. Joan and Norm Christianson wrote a book called "The Lamp Still Burns" depicting the life of the early settlers and all proceeds went into the museum. Today there are 18 buildings housing 8000 exhibits. A barbeque area is available as is good parking. Check opening times. Admission prices are very inexpensive.    Paula Duggan
