Hartz Mountains National Park

If you fancy a short journey from your hotel then the Hartz Mountains National Park is less than an hour from Hobart. It often rains in this park so appropriate clothing is important.

If you like wild, rugged surrounds with weather to match, this is your park. Basic camping facilities are provided. It's close to the city and close to its attractions.

A lookout, waterfall and lake are only a few minutes walk from the car park. You'll need to be fit for the 5 hour return climb to the summit of Mount Hartz . The journey will be delayed as you keep stopping to enjoy the spectacular views.
