If you're driving from the east of Australia , one of your first sightings of WA's magnificent wildflowers can be seen in the Goldfields Woodlands National Park. Australia is famous for its eucalypt trees and you'll see a huge variety in this park. And other native trees including wattles, banksias, bottlebrush and grass trees.
The indigenous Australians found their bush tucker from some of these plants. There are mammals, frogs and reptiles and more than 100 species of birds. There are plenty of recreation and camping sites, the old Goldfields railway and the park is ideal for 4WD exploration. Lots to see if you have an interest in narrow gauge railways, timber cutting and water pipelines.
