Flinders

Australia hotels

Flinders is situated at the southern end of the Mornington Peninsula. It has the Western Port Bay to the west and to the south the Bass Strait. The Bass Strait offers a rugged coastline with cliffs and ocean beaches while the Western Port Bay has quieter waters. Flinders retains a historic feel to the town and there are several antique shops, a fine art gallery and the Bakehouse Cafe.

The area around Flinders is very scenic with green hills and a visit to Bass Park provides views across the Western Port Bay as well as to the jetty.

Flinders has a golf course that overlooks the Mushroom Reef Marine Sanctuary and borders the Mornington Peninsula Park.

The Blowhole is just off the Boneo Road to the west of Flinders and includes walking tracks along the rocky coastline and there are massive blue boulders that are found in the area.
