Crowdy Bay, located south of Port Macquarie, is renowned for its beautiful beaches. Visitors can enjoy fishing, birdwatching and wonderful coastal walks with abundant wildlife. At low tide, families enjoy exploring the rocks and pools below the cliffs. For 4WD enthusiasts, there is a 20km long unsealed road which makes for a breathtaking ride, although it can be very rough going after periods of heavy rain. Visitors can usually enjoy a feeling of solitude, but be aware that the park does get very busy during holidays and summer weekends.
There are three basic but nicely sited camping grounds at Diamond Head, Indian Head and Kylie's Beach, all with non-flush toilets and cold showers, bore water only.
The park is accessed 35 km north-east of Taree off the Pacific Highway at Moorland; 5 km south of Laurieton via the coast road from Port Macquarie or 13 km east of Kew via Laurieton and the coast road.
