Cairns

Cairns is the unofficial capital of Far North Queensland (FNQ) and a very popular place to start or finish a tour of Australia or just its east coast. A vibrant city with an eclectic mix of the old and the new in architecture, entertainment and activities, Cairns offers something for everyone!

For the extreme sports junkies, there's bungee jumping, white water rafting, base jumping, skydiving and rock climbing. With the Coral Sea and Great Barrier Reef being local attractions, there's scuba diving or simple day trips to snorkel, go whale watching, fishing or reef walking.

Cairns also has plenty of other activities to offer such as golfing, bush-walking, bird-watching, tropical rainforest tours, hot air ballooning and various indoor sports.
