Bridgetown


Bridgetown is located to the south west corner of Western Australia. Blackwood River is well stocked with trout. First European settlers arrived in the year 1857 to Bridgetown and have planted apple trees which are still grown in Bridgetown.

Attractions in the town
Bridge town Pottery is located on the Hampton Street. Bridgedale located on the South Western Highway was built in the year 1862 and is situated overlooking a river. Blackwood River Park located on the South Western highway has Blackwood River Park which also has picnics and river walks. In the month of October Blackwood Marathon is conducted and in the month of September power boat event is conducted.

Attractions in the Area
Geegelup Heritage trail located 52 km from Bridgetown retraces history of Agriculture, mining and timber. Sutton`s lookout is located off the Philips Street. Hester Hill is located 5 km to the north of Bridgetown. Historical Park at Greenbushes is located 18 km to the north of Bridgetown has displays of tin-mining industry.
