Bouddi National Park is located on the central NSW coast, 44 km north east of Sydney. A section of the park, around Maitland Bay, extends into the sea, and marine life there is fully protected: dolphins, humpback whales and southern right whales can all be spotted. The vegetation is a mix of heathland, grassy woodland and dry eucalypt forest and the coastline provides interesting geological features.
There are a number of walking trails, most of which are graded easy or moderate and various lookout points which offer sweeping views of the glorious coastline. There are picnic and BBQ facilities at picnic facilities at Putty Beach, Little Beach and Mount Bouddi. Fishing is permitted anywhere except in the protected marine area and swimming is safe on all the main beaches.
Bouddi is located 95km (60 mins) from Sydney and 20km (25 mins) from Gosford. It is possible to reach the park via public transport by taking a train to Woy Woy then a no.59 bus, or a train to Gosford then a no.61 bus.
