Berri

Berri is the commercial centre of the Riverland resion and it is located 227 km to the North East of Adelaide. Berri was once a wood refueling stop for Paddle Steamers and barges which plied into the Murray River.

Attractions in town
Earth Works is located on the Sturt Highway which has local art and craft. Berri Art Gallery is located on the Wilson Street. Water Tower Lookout is located 17 m on the Feddler Street and has panoramic views of river and town. Cave memorial to Jimmy James Aboriginal tracker is located in Berri.

Attractions in the Area
Dried fruit and confectionery is located on Sturt Highway and is located near the Angas Park Kiosk which is 3km to the West. Berri Estates winery and distillery is the largest winemaking facility in the Southern Hemisphere is located near to Berri. 13 km to the West there is Murray River National Park and 10 km to the South West there is Kia Kia Nature Trail which is ideal for Bush Walkers. Wilabalangaloo flora and fauna reserve is located 5 km to the North of Sturt Highway
