Bega Cheese Heritage Centre
A cheese factory with cheese tasting. The Bega Cheese Heritage Centre is a reproduction of the original "Creamery" building constructed in 1899. Lagoon Street, North Bega (02 6491 7762)

Bega Family Museum
Local artefacts and a collection of silverware and farm machinery. Bega & Auckland Streets.

Biamanga National Park
The sacred site of the Yuin people with Mumbulla Mountain being used as an initiation site for young men who then washed in the creek with it's rockpools now well used in the summer months. About 20 km from Bega.

 

The Great Australian Cheese Company –The Bega Cheese heritage Centre is located on the banks of the river just north of the town of Bega on the far south coast of NSW. Entry is free and the centre is open 7 days. At the centre you can see displays of cheese making equipment from the 19th century, see how the land was worked, learn about the different cheeses and have the opportunity to purchase and dairy product.   Paula Duggan
