Ballina

Ballina is on an island on the Richmond River in the north of New South Wales. A popular spot for tourism due to the beaches and climate. Ballina is derived from the Aboriginal word "bullenah" the word for plentiful oysters.

The main attraction is a restored Las Balsas Expedition raft that sailed from South America in 1973.

Shelly Beach
A family beach where dolphins are often seen and whales offshore between June and October.
