Balaklava

Balaklava is located on the banks of the River Wakefield which is present 91 km to the North of Adelaide. This town was named after a battle in the Crimean war.

Attractions in town
National Trust Museum has relics of district`s early days of European settlement. Court house gallery and shop is located on the Edith Tce where community art gallery, Urlwin Park of Agricultural museum is located on the short tce. Lions Club walking trail is present along the Wakefiled River. Race course is situated on the Racecourse road which is a major country race course. In the month of August Balaklava Cup is organized.

Weekend glider joy flights are organized in Balaklava. Devils Gardens is located 7 km to the North East of Balaklava on Auburn Road. The Rocks Reserve is located 10 km to the East of Balaklava on the Auburn Road. Beachside town of Port Wakefield is located 26 km to the West at head of Gulf Street Vincent.
